No Mercy (2015 Image) #9

This is the story of Charlene, a girl who identifies herself as a male.

Her parents send her to a hellish school with the goal of "curing" her of her beliefs.

The treatment at the school is brutal as the inmates gain points for snitching on each other.

Also, the people in charge are corrupt, perverse, and sadistic.

Both the story and the artwork convey Charlene's gut-wrenching story in a powerful, visceral manner.

Also, the comic book includes a partial list of deaths at teen residential treatment centers. There are about 170 names.

This is an issue that must be read.
